It depends on the species of ants you are dealing with, how much pesticide you use and what you are treating for. In most cases, If you are using the pesticide to kill ants, we do not recommend spraying anything. The reason is that you are trying to kill the ants through baiting. If you kill the ants with pesticide then it works against the baiting strategy. If on the other hand you are treating for something else that is not ant related, then a small amount of pesticide into cracks and crevices may be ok. Just remember that ANY pesticide can repel ants, kill ants and sometimes make them worse down the road.
