Termidor SC is designed to be mixed and used at an exact percentage rate and an exact usage rate. Using a hose end sprayed cannot accomplish either of these two. Termidor is designed to be used at 4 gallons of mixture at either .06% or .125% per 10 lineare feet. Under a home this would mean that you have to dig trenches around the foundation walls, piers, etc, to apply it. Spraying on muddy soil will probably not work. If there is any way to dry the area out before applying Termidor, it's highly recommended. It's unlikely that spraying muddy soil for subterranean termites will work long term. Applying it to dry soil, letting it dry and bond with the soil is the recommended treatment. All you need is either a pump sprayer or a bucket to mix the Termidor in. A bucket is usually easier because you are going to be mixing many gallons of Termidor.
Any wood sitting on the ground needs to be structurally modified to create some sort of air gap. Otherwise this is known as "earth wood contact" and is highly conducive to termite infestation. Digging the dirt out below the wood, bracing with with piers, bricks or some other non-wood support such as cement is the proper way to do this. If the wood is sitting on the ground, it will be conducive to termites and it is likely that you will not stop them without using a baiting system such as Hex Pro or Trelona that will kill the colony.
The railroad ties need to be removed and replaced with cement if possible. Otherwise a baiting system is probably the only way to kill them.
