Spray the area and totally saturate it. You may consider doing this 2 or more times. We are approaching the end of the season for grub control. This is where the young grubs are near the surface of the soil. As it gets cooler, they move down into the soil and below the surface. If they move down far enough, insecticides won't reach them. You have to do this while they are near the surface. You may want to consult with a lawn professional or an extension center agent in your area to find out what the window of time to control grubs is in your area.
