To kill and help prevent Peach Twig Borers, there are a couple of treatment methods to consider. First, treat the entire tree when it is in bloom in early spring with a residual spray such as Onslaught. This is a liquid concentrate that mixes with water. Use a handhelp type or back pack type sprayer. Do not use a hose end sprayer as it dilutes the chemical way too much.
Any time during the year, you can treat the trunk and root system with Merit 75. Again, mix it in a sprayer. Merit 75 will be taken into the root system and dispursed throughout the tree.
Both of these products are used by professional arborists and tree experts for the control or peach twig borers.
