In most cases where carpenter ants are nesting in a tree, there are multiple nests. Not just a single nest. If you can find these nests and kill them directly, then treating them is the quickest method. But in most cases where you can't find all of the nests, using a bait system like the KM Ant Pro system is the only choice. The reason is that spraying anything around the ants without killing all of the nests will make them worse. They will move their nests, start laying eggs and reproduce faster. Using a slow-acting bait is the only way to treat them effectively, The only way to use a bait outdoors is with the KM Ant Pro System.
