1 bag of Timbor mixes in 1 gallon of water and will treat 200 square feet of wood. Timbor needs to be applied 2 times to render a .15% solution of Timbor in the wood. When calculating the wood surface be sure to use both sides of the wood. For instance if the joists are 2" x 10', then you will calculate 20 board feet for 1 joist. Timbor also leaves a powdery residue after its dried. I prefer to use BoraCare because it is already diluted in a glycol base, does not leave a powdery residue and only has to be applied 1 time.
