There are several really good ant gels on the market that kill ants. There really isn't a best ant gel because the effectiveness depends on whether or not ants will feed on it. Another issue is that some ant gels are actually "too strong" and kill the ants before they have a chance to take it back to the colony.
The best ant gel is one which attracts a large percentage of the ants, establishes a feeding connection with the colony and is able to sustain this feeding for weeks or months. Most ant gels will not last more than a few days before they dry up and harden. A liquid bait that is able to be placed outdoors and last through rain, weather and the elements works best. A liquid bait also has to be dispensed in a feeding dispenser, not just placed in a pan or tray. The KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant Bait dispenser is the best way to use liquid baits outdoors.
