Alpine is safe to use around people and pets when used as directed. My question is this - are you absolutely certain that they are carpet beetles - how do you know? Carpet beetles are from a family of beetles known as dermestids and they can look very similar. They are all beetles of some form. Do you have a picture or a sample you can send me so that I can identify it? There is no sense in making any pesticide applications until you are certain what the target pest is.
