Springtails are more of an outdoor environmental problem than an indoor problem. Non-toxic methods indoors would be using glue traps such as the 288I or vacuuming. There is no non-toxic way to control most crawling insects using chemical sprays.
A green pesticide alternative is Alpine WG . This product can be sprayed outdoors as well as indoors. Other products that claim to be "organic" are actually "botanical" and flower based. These products are usually oily, leave a messy residue and leave a strong peppermint or rosemary odor. I do not recommend using any products like this indoors.
All organic pesticides are toxic to a degree. Some organic pesticides are more toxic than synthetic pesticides.
