Carpenter ants coming down from our new-ish wood ceiling (put over popcorn). Can't find nest: how to get rid of i

We put a wood plank ceiling up over popcorn ceiling in 2021. Just before leaving for vacation, we found carpenter ants crawling down the walls on BOTH sides of the ceiling. We've had carpenter ants in our house before and had a professional treat for them. This time he sprayed but admitted he doesn't know where the nest is and makes no promises that he has stopped them. We don't want to take down our new beautiful ceiling - but we want to get rid of the ants AND the nest. What can we do??? Can we buy a product that will work without taking down the ceiling? And do we need to worry that the ants will travel to the rest of our house?? We're still on vacation and can't do anything to fix this for at least 2-4 weeks. HELP! Thanks!

There are 2 ways to kill carpenter ants. 1. Directly application to the nest using a pesticide spray, dust or foam. If you don't where the nest is then --- 2. Use a baiting system. The KM Ant Pro Liquid Ant System utilizes liquid bait dispensers to feed ants 24/7. This kills the workers as they forage for food. Baiting is a long term approach, but as it kills the worker ants, they colony slowly starves and declines.
