How often should I spray Taurus SC?
Hi,
I hope you're all well.
How often should I spray Taurus SC? I've read in some places, every six months. This can't be right, can it?
I just sprayed two weeks ago. It was mainly on my concrete back yard and front yard. No danger of run off anywhere. I thought every two months would be sufficient. Will it really last 6 months outside? That's what the label states. I used 8 ml/gallon and did not spray on soil as we have a vegetable garden.
I know the label on Temprid FX states every 7-10 days but I was spraying it once a month, like my exterminator was. Seems like it worked very well.
I know that Supspend Polyzone can last up to three months outdoors as that's how it's been formulated.
I'm just wondering how often I should spray Taurus SC. I don't want to overdo it. Sorry for the length.
Thanks for your help.
Regards,
DL

It all depends on what you are trying to kill, where it is applied, etc. As a general rule, most chemicals won't last or be toxic enough to kill insects any longer than a few weeks. 6 months? My experience is that direct sunlight, cement, water, heat, etc can degrade the toxicity in a short period of time. Days or weeks in most cases. There is no regular rule for outdoor application / timing. In most cases reapply when the insects are present and according to the label directions.
