German cockroaches that infest electronics can be tough to deal with. There are couple of tricks that can help.
First, use gel baits like Maxforce FC Roach Gel and try to take apart the item and place the bait inside where the roaches hide. This usually works well, but requires that the item be taken apart if possible. If not possible, then put the roach gel bait around it and near any vents or entry points where they go inside.
Second, use CB 80 aerosol and give a light "fog" into the device to try and flush the roaches out. Be careful though, CB 80 can mar plastic, etc, if oversprayed.
Lastly, wrap the item in a black plastic bag and sit in direct sunlight for a few days if possible. Heat is a good non-chemical method of control for most insects, and if the inside of the bag gets hot enough, (125 - 150F), it should kill the roaches. This isn't always practical though, so in most cases, revert to step #1 and #2.
Hope this helps.
