Vitamin B1 is thought to repel mosquitoes. It is sold in patches, wristbands, lotions and other on-skin products. It works by transdermally locating on the surface of the skin. Full effects are not seen for several hours but may last 24-48 hours. Taking Vitamin B1 orally has not shown to be effective in repelling mosquitoes.
