2nd Time Bird Mites
2nd time in 10 years. Spent thousands last time. Wasted months and pest control fees. My state doesn't seem to know these exist or how to treat. Finally had to have my home heat treated. Now they are back, but I have more experience. Black 'pepper' sprinkles everywhere and the crawling and itching. Another costly heat treatment isnt possible right now and apparently wont permanently eradicate them. Best guess is they are coming from my neighbors chicken coops, which are legal in the city here. This time I'm treating with Sterifab and about to saturate walls, floors and cracks with Onslaught and Bifen XTS. No carpet. Is my plan below solid and how do I create a barrier between our yards? I have sulphur and diatomaceous earth to put down once the weather permits.
Plan for 1st pass tomorrow: Ventilation system cleaned. Vacuum. Laundry bagged. Shoes bagged. Spray Bifen in bags before sealing them. Spray ceilings, walls, floors, joints and baseboards, inside cabinets, behind/under appliances with Onslaught. Shower and leave in fresh clothes from dryer.
Return- vacuum. Start laundry with mite additive bag by bag. Dry high heat. Night, vacuum again.
How many days do I wait to treat with Onslaught again or do I switch to Bifen? Will I have to go through the same extensive day 1 process or just floors?
