The trick to rodent control is trapping them and getting rid of them indoors, and then sealing up any holes and making sure they can't get in. Firststrike is a second generation rodenticide and not any different that any number of other similar baits on the market. It's like saying a gun is more than lethal than a similar gun. We don't sell it on our site because its not in demand by professionals. Most of the Bell Labs products such as Final and Contrac work as well or better in my opinion. However, I don't recommend using ANY poison indoors - period. Trap them and get rid of them. Use baits outdoors in bait stations such as the EZ Klean and similar stations.
If you use a rodent bait indoors, they rodent will most likely die indoors. This creates an entirely new set of problems - odors, flies - etc. Avoid that and use traps such as the Trapper Rat or Trapper Mouse traps.
Mice are generally fairly easy to capture. They like peanut butter, seeds, etc. Also once the trap begins capturing mice, DON'T THROW IT AWAY! It becomes "seasoned" and works better when there is a dead mouse smell to it. Go figure.
Hope this helps.
