Are bedbug bites contagious?

A friend stated that bedbug bites are contagious. This was knowledge acquired from a personal family experience. However, nothing I've found during my research for information has eluded to this being a fact. Please advise.

Bed Bug bites contagious? I don't know exactly what you are asking. Bed Bugs bite, and they can leave a nasty bump or a series of bumps. But these bumps are only the result of the bite. The bumps cannot be passed on without the bed bug. Please give me more information.
