Recently purchased a farm and need some help.

We recently purchased an old horse farm and need help getting control of the pest. We have 2 dogs and I am worried about products that may harm them.

I looking for a product that can be put in my pull behind spayer to treat the outside property. I have 3 acres of grass and would like to treat for ticks and fleas.

I have 15 horse stalls and 3 barns that need to be treated with something to control the insects. At this time there will be no horses on the property.

I have the usuall stink bugs inside the house as does everyone in the state of Maryland that we are trying to get control of also.

Any advise you can give would be greatly appreciated.

The best overall treatment, and also the most economical would be either Bifenthrin (Bifen) or Permethrin (Tengard).

Both of these products are available in larger quantities. Be sure to mix them at least 1/2 to 1 oz of chemical per gallon of water for best results on the acreage. In the barns, stalls, etc, use 1 oz per gallon of water.

Stink bugs are hard to control. The products that seem to be working on them are (Dinotefuron) Alpin e and Transport. The problem with Alpine is that it only comes in an aerosol and a dust. A concentrated version for spraying will be available this fall.

Transport, may be the best overall treatment, it also the best product for bed bugs.
