Nick, If it were my house, then I would use Termidor SC. Taurus SC is ok for spot treatments, and ants, but I am not sold on the fact that it is the exact same product. The active ingredient I have recently found out (fipronyl) is made in China.
I MAXX also sold as Dominion (same product) is Imidachloprid. I Maxx is a private label version of Dominion sold by one of our Distributors - Univar. It is made by the same company (Control Solutions Inc. or CSI) that makes Taurus SC. Again, the active is made in China, or so I have been told.
If you want to save money, and don't have much to lose, then use Taurus SC. Even though we sell I Maxx, I really don't recommend it for termite control. It is a knockoff of Premise 2. If you want an Imidachloprid based product, then Premise is the best. I Maxx is a generic China made knockoff.
Since the termites are on the outside of the slab garage, I would at least do a spot treatment about 10 feet each side of where the mud tubes are found. Then keep a good check on it and see what happens and if they show up somewhere else. If you use Termidor or Taurus, they probably won't show up anywhere near your treatment area.
If you use Dominion or Premise, then there is a good chance that they will show up again, probably very close by.
Hope this helps.

Termite control is not an exact science. However, with Fipronyl or any of the baits, the effect on the colony is quite impressive. As long as you apply Termidor into the areas where the termites are active, and it actually contacts them or their mud shelter tubes, then there will be some degree of control. Usually, not always, but usually, a spot treatment can control the problem structure wide.
Just be sure to treat as well and as thoroughly as you can.

Ron,
I purchases 3 78oz and 1 small bottle of termidor this evening by paypal. Picked up a sprayer, foam concentrate, and some plugs. Having a large partial basement along with a second detached garage and workshop took quite a bit of termidor but I'll rest easier knowing I treated properly and some pest control service didnt do a shoddy treatment.
I could have saved a small amount of money shopping elsewhere but picked your company for a few reasons. First of all, YOU answered my questions. The fact that you make time to do this went along way with my decision. Two, your website was the most informative that I found on the topics of pest control. Three, it was a one stop shopping experience. I didnt have to piece together everything from more than one store.
Thanks for the informative website. I'll be keeping a lookout for my delivery here in Illinois and look forward to letting the termites know they didnt RSVP to this party..

Everything arrived in good shape. I might have to send you a bill however Ron... It's troubling to know the fact that when the package arrived I enjoyed the thought of judgement day coming for the termites and that I was there to do the devils work. In short, you'll see the bill from a psychologist soon......
Seriously though, thanks for the fast shipping. I got one wall foamed with the hand pump versafoamer and most of one side of the house trenched and treated along the outside. Not bad for a few hours work. Wishing that I had picked up the automatic B&G foamer though since I am on block foundation around a basement, crawlspace, and slab. That's going to be a lot of pumping to foam the blocks....
