Is there anything I can do about the crazy ants that are literally taking over my property more and more each year

Several years ago, I discovered tiny ants that seemed to have no idea where they wanted to go but knew they must be late. This was probably 4 or 5 years ago. Then I began to hear on the news about a new breed of ant that was called crazy ants, strawberry crazy ants or rasberry crazy ants. I knew immediately that I had identified the ants that were becoming more numerous each year but all the information I could find in this area on the subject was that the ants were not this far north. I am becoming desperate...it seems that this year, the number of ants have quadrupled. I have had fire ants in the past but not for the last several years. I have found no ants inside my home they are just taking over my yard. I would really appreciate any information you might provide.

Hi Ann. The only thing that works on any kind of crazy ant, including the Tawny (Rasberry) crazy ant, is the KM Ant Pro system. This system works by giving them what they are looking for, a sweet food source. It also gives them a continual supply of bait in a protected feed dispenser.

Sprays won't kill them all. Granules are useless against ants. Liquid ant bait is the only way to go. The KM Ant Pro dispenser is the only product outside that works.

We also sell many sprays, dusts, etc. but nothing else works on these ants. Fire ants will run away and relocate from crazy ants. That is their only benefit. But then you have to deal with millions of crazy ants!
