The short answer is yes, it kills them. However, keep in mind that if in fact it is the Caribbean Crazy Ant or any sub species, that you are dealing with one of the most invasive aggressive tramp ants known to North America.
Pesticide sprays will not work, don't waste your money. Also if you are looking for a quick fix, forget it. Dealing with these ants is not simple. It requires a specific strategy and program of baiting.
Here is what to - 1) Scoop up 5-10 ants in a tupperware container, seal it and stick it in the freezer for a few hours. 2) Send me the ants in a small vial so that they are intact and not crushed. Don't send them in an envelope.
I will identify the EXACT species of your ant, then I will contact Ken at Ant Pro in Florida. Together we will formulate a stategy and a plan based on your home, surroundings and environment.
This is your only option if you want to get control. Ken is the foremost authority on Caribbean Crazy Ants in the USA, and together we have helped many customers get rid of their ant problems from California to Florida.
This is something that no pest control company or University can offer.
