Borid or Boric Acid is designed to be used indoors, and as a crack and crevice treatment for roaches, etc. It is not designed to be used outdoors, and once it's wet, it's no good.
Also, boric acid is similar to table salt in toxicity and would be highly toxic to grasses and plants. So don't use it outdoors.
