This is a copy and paste directly off of the label --
Food Handling Establishments
Places other than private residences in which food is held, processed, prepared or served.
Food/Feed Areas
Prelude Termiticide/Insecticide is not labeled for use in food/feed areas. Do not use in food/feed areas of food/feed handling establishments,
restaurants or other areas where food/feed is commercially prepared or processed. Do not use in service areas while food is exposed
or facility is in operation. Service areas are areas where prepared foods are served such as dining rooms but excluding areas where
foods may be prepared or held. In the home, all food processing surfaces and utensils should be covered during treatment or thoroughly
washed before use. Exposed food should be covered or removed. Not for use in Federally inspected Meat and Poultry Plants.
Nonfood/Feed Areas
Includes garbage rooms, lavatories, floor drains (to sewers), entries and vestibules, offices, locker rooms, machine rooms, garages, mop
closets, and storage (after canning or bottling). All areas where insects hide or through which insects may enter should be treated.
Use Prelude Termiticide/Insecticide to control pests listed in the following table by application of a 0.50% emulsion.
Bottom line is that Prelude really isn't labeled to be used in a Food Establishments. The other factor is that since Prelude is a synthetic pyrethroid, and a lot of German cockroach populations are resistant to this family of chemicals, I would not recommend to use.
I would recommend to use something that is labeled such as Demand CS, Transport, Phantom, etc.
There is not a recommended application rate since the application is treat cracks, crevices, etc where insects hide. This widely varies with each establishment.
