2 lbs of Boractin is a lot of dust for an attic. Generally, a pesticide dust is applied very lightly, it's like dust on the furniture - a very thin film. The issue with any fan in any area where pesticide dust has been applied is this: 1) Will the action of the fan stir up the dust? 2) Is there a possibility that the dust can then enter the living space through air currents, the A/C system, or openings in the ceiling? So the answer to your question doesn't apply to the question for these reasons. There is no waiting period after a pesticide dust is applied into an area where it would be safe to breathe, especially if it becomes airborne due to fans or circulation.
