Greenway Liquid Ant Bait is a low toxicity "Green" product containing boric acid. Boric Acid has just about the same toxicity as table salt. A lot of eye wash products also contain boric acid - some with the same percentage used in Greenway Bait. Boron which is the base mineral in boric acid occurs naturally in apples, bananas, nuts and leafy greens.
Indoors, Greenway Bait should be used in bait containers or trays such as the Ant Cafe or the Bug Bar. It is not inherently toxic to pets or people, but due to its boric acid content which is less than 1%, it is considered a pesticide.
