Web Out contains essential oils and surfactants. Its shelf life is generally 4-5 years unopened. Once opened, the shelf life is around 6 months - 1 year. It's best to brush down spider webs and then apply Web Out to the areas where spiders tend to build their webs. Reducing the number of insects around the base of the home and in the lawn also helps to keep spiders away. Spiders are only there because they have a food source. Eliminate the food source if possible and the spider population will be much less. Web Out is useful to discourage spiders from building their webs, but it doesn't kill them. It is normally used as part of a spider management program.
