I have never heard that. I don't think that is true. Many thousands of homes that were treated with Premise were retreated with Termidor when it came out around 2000.
But as long as the termites are not actually active in the area treated with Premise, then technically there is no need to retreat.
If you just want to treat preventively, then I would certainly recommend it, since Premise has only shown to last 3-5 years in most soils anyway.
