upon clearing the lot and building the foundation, ants were heading for the foundation how do I stop them ?

In upcountry Kula, Maui , Hi we have seen ants going into the ground and up again making a long trail straight towards the underneath cement slab of a newly cleared lot of trees and grass, the ants are making a beeline into our newly built home. They are small black and at one time they bit my arm when I did not see them on a piece of rubbish that I picked up. What can we do?

Not knowing what species they are, I can only make general recommendations.

The KM Ant Pro System will give the best long term results This is an outdoor ant bait system.

Spraying anything will only give temporary results. Fipronyl based products such as Termidor and Taurus are the best sprays, but again, the results are temporary.

Is there any way to send a good close up picture?
