The ProZap Insect Guard strips are only designed to be used for bed bugs in combination with "Heat Treatments". The strip is placed in front of a heater and the heat causes the chemical inside the strip to "Vaporize" acting like a fumigant. No one can be in the room when this is done.
Placing a strip inside a sofa or mattress to kill bed bugs won't work. Placing them in a ziplock baggie might work, but it would take several weeks or months to get full effect.
This product is best used for flying insects not crawling insects. Here is a link to the directions - http://www.epestsupply.com/images/Pro...
Here is a link to the product directions for NuVan Pro Strips, basically the same product. They are made by the same company as the Insect Guard. Look under the Bed Bugs and Eggs section. The directions might be a little hard to read and understand, but it is designed for professional use.
