It depends on where you are spraying it.
Indoors - basically, the rule of preparation applies. Be sure that there is nothing that can be handled, eaten or touched by humans or pets that is in the line of "spray" before you apply it.
Make sure that any toys, blankets, clothes, shoes, exposed dishes, open food, etc is put away and / or off the floor before you spray. After you spray, make sure everything is dry and there are no odors before allowing anyone or pets back inside.
Outdoors, make sure sure that pet food bowls and pets are put up before you spray. Childrens toys, etc, should also be put away. When spraying make sure that you spray upwind and walk backwards when spraying. Never walk into wet chemical spray. Let it dry before allowing anyone or pets back on the area.
