Bifenthrin can be used to treat white flies, but it not normally recommended by most nursery and garden experts. The best thing to use is a straight pyrethrum product such as Riptide, or Pyronyl 303. These products contain actual pyrethrum and are not synthetic such as Bifenthrin.
We carry a small 5 oz bottle of Riptide that is perfect for small applications - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/RI... just mix it in water and spray the plant as directed.
Onslaught is another good choice - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/74...
Pyronyl 303 is the most expensive, but is a great product - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/PY...
Some gardeners prefer Imidichloprid which is sold under the name Premise or Merit - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/BA...
another good product.
Many gardeners will also use an IGR (growth regulator) such as Nyguard - http://www.epestsupply.com/product/38...
This will kill the eggs and immature flies and help to stop the life cycle.
The bottom line on whiteflies is that they are hard to control and persistence will eventually pay off. Let me know if this helps.
