No, CB 80 is not a total release aersol. 1 can will ultimately treat around 17,000 cubic feet, so even if you could set it to total release, it will over apply the pyrethrin by about 17 times, since the average room is only around 1,000 cubic feet. In other words, this can will treat around 17 rooms.
CB 80 is similar to hair spray. Use as much or little as you need. A good way to use it is to go to the far corner of the room, begin dispensing, and then as you walk backward away from it, use a sweeping motion in the air. After application, exit the room, close the door and hopefully you didn't breath anything. If this is not possible, then I would recommend to use an organic mist respirator or at the very least a dust mask. Hope this helps.
