What is most effective for 2" slabs with PB Beetles? Tim-bor or Boracare
I Have PB beetles in dry oak slabs that are 5/4" and 8/4" thick. The boards have been stacked properly outside for 20 years but there was no vapor barrier below the stack. I want to use these in an interior house project and need to ensure as much as possible that the powder post beetles have been eliminated as much as possible. What product is best / most effective to eliminate an existing infestation? Also when considering coverage am I correct to assume that I need to consider / factor treating both sides of the board when calculating the square footage?

Is the wood finished or raw? Are you going to stain, paint or varnish it?
