Winged insects.
Hello,
My wife gathered some pecans during pecan season, and stored them in a box in one room. A few weeks later, we came in the room, and found a lot of insects flying around. We removed the pecans, ans weeks later there are still insects there even though there is no food or water.
They are a bit long, and have clear wings, but I don't know how to identify them.
What do you recommend.
Thank you,
Trino Camberos

Getting rid of the pecans would be the first thing and it sounds like you have done that. Treating the room with a residual insecticide such as Demand CS might help. Fogging the room with CB-80 will also help. Sometimes things like this don't have an instant cure, they just have to work themselves out. These critters can hide in all sorts of nooks, crevices and crannies. Repeated treatments over a several week cycle will get rid of them.
