Sentricon with "Always Active" bait is only available through a licensed Sentricon Installer and under license from Dow Chemical. Hex Pro is the original Sentricon station but has a different lid and is gray. The bait is separate and is called "Shatter".
Basically with Hex Pro, you inspect the wood detectors and replace them with a Shatter Cartridge when termites are found in the stations. I would recommend to do this every 3 months March - October in most areas. If you live in the deep south, year round December inspections may be necessary.
The difference is that the Hex Pro system is the original Sentricon system developed in the late 90's. The new Sentricon Always Active system is new and only about 3 years old.
