I had someone spray newly painted maple walls, new cabinets and new hardwood and have resiidue. Clean how??
I have a houseboat I am renovating and I just spent about 125K on painting the thin maple walls, installing new hardwood and cabinets in kitchen and every room. It was a total gut with the exception of a handful of the old maple walls where I think we primarily saw the powder post beetles. The exterminator we used sprayed every service down. I have read today it doesn't' even work for painted surfaces and you need to sand or drill holes which of course isn't an option as we just spent all this money remodeling. Everything in my new boat is now covered in sticky residue and I am trying to find help to clean it. It has taken over a day of mopping in one area to even get off the floor. Does anyone have any suggestions besides soap and water? I am afraid the paint on the new walls will be ruined after wiping it all down. I hope the cabinets strong clear will keep them from damage.

This is very unfortunate. It sounds like the person who applied the BoraCare either didn't care or didn't know what they were doing. Soap and water and cleaning by hand is the only way to remove surface BoraCare. The ingredients in BoraCare usually don't harm paints or surfaces, but glossy surfaces could be dulled. Using a mild soap such as Murphys Oil might help reduce the damage. Dawn dish detergent is what I normally recommend for best surface removal.
